Comstar United Telesystems informs that the cards activation period indicated on "Dial-Public" Internet cards with the nominal value of 5, 10 and 20 units was extented till December 31, 2005.

For the attention of e-mail box users in the domain comail.ru (<box name>@comail.ru).

Dear sirs!

Due to upgrade completed on the node of telematics services, the e-mail box access procedure has been changed.

From July 1-st through to August 31, 2005 it will be possible for users to move their existing mail boxes to the new mail server.

The users of Dial Public service (dial-up Internet access over PSTN telephone lines) in order to control the e-mail have to enter the section "For registered users" http://dp.comstar.ru/eng/enter/index.html and in the menu "Control" select "Mail boxes" (available from July 1-st, 2005). In order to transfer a current mail box enter the box name, its password and select the option  Move a mail box . Moving of existing mail boxes in the domain comail.ru to the new mail server will be possible until August 31, 2005. If not re-registered by that date (transferred to the new mail server), the mail boxes will become inaccessible from September 1, 2005.

We are happy to inform you that with effect from September 10 Comstar introduces new fixed tariffs for payment for the Dial Public service. The new fixed tariffs will allow you to get the required number of Internet access hours at a much cheaper price in the daytime and for free at night during 30 days.

25/12/2003 Unlimited access to Internet in the night-time and on week-ends

We are happy to inform you that with effect from December 25 Comstar introduces new payment options for the Dial Public service for those who actively use Internet in the night-time and on week-ends. According to the offered tariffs payment for access to the network at the specified time is fixed and does not depend on the duration of the connection.

With effect from September 10, 2003 a new equivalent of a conventional unit (c.u.) used for charging the Dial-Public Service is introduced at the rate of 30 rubles, including VAT and other taxes and levies. Irrespective of the method of payment for the service (bank transfer of money to the Comstar account, through the payment systems Rapida and Telebank, or in case of payment by cash at the cash-desks of Comstar, the Savings Bank, Guta bank) the users’ accounts will be replenished by the number of conventional units equal to the paid amount divided by the new ruble equivalent of 1 c.u. (30 rubles).

The corresponding changes have been made in the Comstar Agreement on the provision of the Dial-Public service.

Internet-cards will be sold at the Comstar office at the following prices (effective from 10.09.2003).

We are also happy to inform you that we have once again expanded the modem pool of the Dial-Public service. Additional 12 streams (360 lines) were added on index 737 (the modem pool number is 737-4727).

08/09/2003 Comstar’s new pricing policy with regard to Internet cards

The company Comstar, a major Moscow ISP, announces about the changes in the pricing policy with regard to Internet cards. The cards design has also been completely renewed.

Traditionally Comstar issues Internet cards with the nominal value of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 conventional units. Beginning from the 10th of september the company has set the "exchange rate" for Comstar conventional units at the level of 1 c.u. = 30 RUR* including VAT. Now the recommended price for the card with a nominal value of 5 units is 150 rubles exclusive of the Sales tax.

A pre-paid Internet card allows the user to get a dial-up access to the global net at the rate of up to 56 Kbit/sec. As part of the service the following capabilities are provided: e-mail addresses, forwarding of incoming messages and creation of personal WEB-sites.

26/05/2003 COMSTAR'S MODEM POOL EXPANDED

Comstar implemented yet another expansion of the Dial Public Service Modem Pool by adding 120 lines bringing it to the total of 1800 lines. The newly commissioned additional lines will improve the quality of provision of Dial Public Service by reducing the time needed to access that service. 4 more streams were added to Index 737 (737 4727).

27/05/2002 - Comstar, with the objective to prevent instances of unauthorized use of other's names and passwords (identifiers) by the Internet users to gain access to the Dial-Public Service, hereby notifies of a new procedure, effective from 27/05/2002, of changing by the Service users of their identifiers.

Effective immediately, a Dial-Public Service user can only change his / her password at the time of his / her direct connection to the Comstar Modem Pool.
